In four weeks, International Trade Centre and the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran will host the #EuropeIranBusinessForum, the first major Iran business conference in over two years. This timely online event is funded by the EU as part of its commitment to economic diplomacy. The event is organized with support from Bourse & Bazaar and The European House-Ambrosetti.
EU-Iran trade has faced a tough few years. Exports to Iran fell from €10.6bn in 2017 to just €4.4bn in 2019 in the face of US secondary sanctions. But the fundamental economic relationship has proven durable and should political conditions improve, we can expect a rebound in trade and investment.
